My favorite Ninong, it’s heartbreaking to know about your sudden passing. But I have learned so much from you.
Your life taught me about:
1. Serving God and the community.
2. Family is always first.
3. Be generous, there’s always something to offer.
Your sudden death:
1. Live life to its fullest.
2. Spend time, make time for those you love.
3. Our days are numbered, make a positive impact whenever and wherever you can.
I love you so much Ninong. Thank you for your life, a beautiful life you have shared with all of us. 😭

My dearest ading Oweng. I know you won’t be able to read any of my messages anymore but I hope they have a special kind of messenger in heaven so you could read this. It’s hard to believe that you’re no longer with us. I think you know how close I am to you and how happy I am whenever I see you or when we come and visit you and your family in Swansea or when you all come and visit us in Bristol before. Thanks to you and Alon for always making us feel so comfortable when we come and visit. I remember the first time we met in 2010 when I came to visit all of you in Swansea. Emil was just a just a young boy then. We immediately had that brotherly connection. You never treated me as your wife Alon’s cousin but a brother and I always looked at you as my ading. Because of this, me and family often come and visit you all in Swansea. I always have that excitement and joy when we’re close to your home, especially knowing that Alon, Brenda, Martin and the kids are there too. I always feel sad too when we leave you all again. You will always have a special place in my heart. Thank you ading ko for all your love and care you’ve given us all❤️ we love you and we will always miss your humility, generosity, warmth and your smiling face. Until we meet again🙏🏽❤️

Tito Oweng was a very thoughtful person. At Ruthie’s debut, I remember how he’d stroll in and introduce me every time a new person showed up to my table. It warmed my heart that he wanted to make sure I didn’t feel isolated at an event full of people I’d never met.
Tito Oweng was someone who you could count on the brighten the mood. He was always singing, always smiling, always laughing and always down to join in on the fun. You need firewood for the bonfire? Call Tito Oweng! You’re filming a TikTok? Sign him up! It’s time to take a selfie? Let the king do it himself! He was always a good sport when made fun of. One of my favorite photos of him was him posing to hold up the leaning tower of Pisa, but instead it was angled so he was holding up a lamppost.
The Roel Sibayan I met was an amazing father, a loving husband, a good nephew and an excellent older brother. But to me, Tito Oweng was one of the best uncles I could have ever asked for. He knew how to bring forth joy, he was someone you knew wouldn’t let anything bad happen to you and look out for you, and he was an uncle who felt just like a friend. He was someone always radiating light, so may we all meet him again someday.
