MiekeSCOTT (Esschenbag)Esschenbag "Mieke", Maria Scott died peacefully at 92 years old with Barbara and Tom by her side on the 27th of June 2021. A truly loved wife of Tom, mother to Barbara and Tom. She was a loving and fun Oma to Charlie, George, Victoria and Sarah. Mieke was Dutch, born in Maastricht. Later she settled in Grimsby when Tom her RAF husband was posted to RAF Binbrook. Grimsby became her forever home in 1975. Thank you to all her loving and caring friends. Thank you to Waltham House and to the Willow Home care girls. Thank you to Pelham Medical Group and all the doctors who have cared for her for so many years. And thank you to everyone who made a difference to Mieke's long life. "Dank U wel" (thank you). She only spoke Dutch for the last weeks of her life. Service Grimsby Crematorium, 12th July 15:45. Daughter Barbara, Son Tom and their families

Mieke, you were like family to me. Your kindness, sense of humour and whacky character will be missed by many. I’m sorry I can’t be there today to celebrate your wonderful life but you will always have a space in my heart ❤️
