IAN OSBORNEThe sudden death of Ian Osborne, at the age of 44, was greeted with "great sadness" at the Lincolnshire school where he taught.Mr Osborne, who joined Oasis Academy Immingham in 2007, was found dead on Theddlethorpe Beach on 25 March, 2009.A joint statement issued by Steve Chalke, chief executive of Oasis Community Learning, and school principal Brian Dixon, following his death, said: "Ian Osborne’s death comes as a great shock and a sad loss for all at Oasis Academy."Most importantly, as the academy community bears this great sadness together, our thoughts and prayers are with Ian’s family in their loss and grief."Mr Dixon added that Mr Osborne was a "well respected member of staff, and a great guy. The students thought he was wonderful."A memory room, where students and staff could leave flowers and cards, was set up following his death.He was survived by his wife and three young children.
