JeanMANIFOLDIt is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that we announce that our beloved Mum, Jean Manifold, slipped away peacefully on 9th April, in the care of the Royal Stoke.
Jean, aged 95, was surrounded by her adoring family. Leaving a huge void in our lives, we take comfort that Jean is now reunited with her dear husband, Roy.
Jean was the cherished Mum of Jan, Sue, Gill and Steve, and a well-loved and respected Mum-in-Law of Grant, Dan, Ken and Janice. She was a treasured and very proud Nana to Jo, Steph, Dom, Ben and Gem, and caring Great Nana Jean of Jamie, Emily, Luca, Annabelle and baby Jacob. She was also a dear Sister and Auntie.
Jean was an inspiration to us all, no one loved life more than her. She had a unique zest for life, and showed strength, determination, courage and a sense of humour throughout her life, and her illness, until the end.
Jean will be greatly missed by us all, and by anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. Always upbeat, she was much loved by all her family and friends.
A celebration of Jean’s life will take place at Carmountside Crematorium on Friday 17th May at 3.30pm.
Relatives and friends wishing to attend the service, kindly meet at the Crematorium. Formal mourning clothes are not essential. Floral tributes are welcome, or if preferred, donations in memory of Jean, to Dementia UK.
