Brett JamesBANFILLPassed peacefully with his beloved wife, Miranda, by his side on Wednesday, the 27th of March. Brett made friends wherever he went, with his cheeky grin and contagious chuckle. He is already deeply missed by friends, family, and all those who were lucky enough to meet him.
A devoted husband, son, brother, in-law, and friend, it was well-known that he would do anything for those he loved. Brett was intelligent and driven, and always keen to pursue new interests and activities. There wasn’t a sport he hadn’t tried or a team he wouldn’t join. He was an accomplished structural engineer at Wintech Ltd, which supported him in his ambitions and celebrated his successes. Brett completed his master's degree and became a published author in recent years.
Friends and family are welcome to share in a celebration of Brett’s life and to show their love for him by attending a service at St Mary’s Church in Stafford on Thursday, the 25th of April at 13:30, which will also be streamed on the StaffordChurches.uk (Facebook page). Following the service we will be gathering at The Sun Inn to share our favourite stories of Brett. Guests are asked to please avoid dark colors and preferably wear yellow or “old gold” as a nod to the Wolfpack and his favorite “happy” color.
His wife has requested, in place of any flowers, for donations to be made to Katharine House Hospice, who cared for him with such tenderness; the staff went above and beyond to know Brett and to offer him the dignity and love he deserved while he was in their care.

Have the best memories of our time spent with Brett ❤️ Always was excited to teach us a new board game on a weekend away. Even though he never won a game of Catan, he will always be the ultimate Catan Champion in our hearts ❤️ We miss you, Brett
